Scott Nance Board Member
Scott Nance has a B.A. in History and Anthropology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and a Master of Divinity from Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Missouri. Following graduation, he worked as a clinical chaplain in psychiatric and general medical hospitals in the Kansas City area. His work as a chaplain engendered a passion for health care that has never left him. Currently Scott serves in the restaurant business in Austin with his sister. Their place is called Annie’s located in the Austin International Airport.
Scott first became involved with Austin Samaritans when he was a part of a team helping set up a cancer registry in Managua, the very first for Nicaragua. In the course of that project he developed a deep desire to help the people of Nicaragua.
