Colegio Cristiano Presbiteriano provides classes from pre-kindergarten through high school in a Christian environment for 370+ deserving students from an underprivileged barrio and meals for primary students.
$5 provides printing for take-home lessons for 5 students.
$10 provides the salary for one teacher for one day.
$40 provides the cost of one child's education for one month.
Centro Educativo La Esperanza (Club Esperanza), an educational center of Open Hearts, serves children from the impoverished barrio Villa Guadalupe and adjacent barrios by providing educational opportunities to 270+ pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and primary classes through sixth grade.
$5 provides school supplies for one child for one month.
$20 provides two meals each school day for one child for one month.
$40 provides the cost of one child's education for one month.
Fundación Ortiz Gurdián (FOG), provides free screening and treatment for breast and cervical cancer for women whose annual family income is less than $2,100. Cervical cancer is the leading cause of death for Nicaraguan women ages 30-60.
$5 provides one PAP smear kit.
$10 provides two months of hormone treatment.
$20 provides ultrasound screening for breast cancer or a chemo care kit.
$30 provides mammogram screening for breast cancer prevention/early detection.
Clínica Villa Guadalupe (CVG) provides general medical and obstetric/gynecology services in an area where much of the population has significant health needs and few resources. This clinic has registered 5,900+ unique patients since reopening at its new location in 2014.
