May 3 is Austin Samaritans Work Day.
Working hand in hand with various organizations around Austin, we've arranged to host volunteers at our warehouse.
Our warehouse is an integral part in executing our vision of Connecting Texans and God's Larger World. The medical needs in Nicaragua and the rest of Central America are great. Our country, on the other hand, enjoys a surplus of recently-retired but still in working condition supplies. The Austin Samaritans warehouse will serve as a storage point between the surplus supplies and those in need.
Austin Samaritan volunteers began the task of getting the warehouse in working order a few months ago. They've made tremendous progress in the short time they've had, but there are some tasks still to be done. We've invited participants to join us on May 3 to help us complete the launch of the warehouse.
