Austin Samaritans, a group dedicated to assisting the medical, educational, and spiritual needs of God's children, launched its website austinsamaritans.org on February 17, 2007.
The initial site site features excerpts from a Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. speech in which he relates how we should apply the lessons from the story of The Good Samaritan.
Also unveiled with the website was the Austin Samaritans logo: A dove in flight created from the stylized letters A and S. The dove, a universal symbol of love and peace, is depicted carrying an olive branch, a symbol of hope and redemption.
The Austin Samaritans website is slated to become a focal point of communication between Austin Samaritan members, its partners, and the greater internet community.
