Austin Samaritans is a dedicated group of people resolved to improve the human condition in God's Larger World. We serve and assist churches, non-profits, and non-government organizations mainly in Nicaragua and Guatemala in the areas of health, education and rescue. By coordinating efforts and pooling resources for maximum impact, we connect resources and talent at home to the needs abroad.
Our Mission
Austin Samaritans seeks to glorify God by connecting resources and needs to transform lives.
Ways We Serve
Austin Samaritans serves those in need in three fundamental areas: Health, Education, and Rescue.
- Health in the forms of medical and dental treatment, supporting existing clinics, and administering in needful areas
- Education in the forms of child sponsorship and support for schools and educational resources
- Rescue in the form of supporting programs that lift our brothers and sisters from a cycle of depravity
Connections
Our mission is to connect resources to needs, but it also extends to connecting and partnering with other service-minded organizations and connecting and networking other organizations to each other.
We can get the boat across the river faster if we all row together; so Austin Samaritans also seeks to work with other programs to multiply our efforts.
History
Austin Samaritans existed for many years in the hearts and minds of its founders -- long before any name existed for the group. Our primary area of expertise is in medical and dental treatment in Nicaragua and Guatemala. We continue to focus on those areas as well as those who can benefit from our expertise in the United States.
Non-Profit Status
Austin Samaritans is a nonprofit corporation and 501(c)(3) non-profit entity. It is governed by a board of directors who abide by the corporation's established bylaws.
